La Val family is the owner of three famous Galician restaurants in Madrid and Vigo. Quality obsessed, they decided to grow their own Albariņo grapes in order to have Albariņo wines with quality they wanted. They were pioneers in Rias Baixas, with planting only Albariņo at that time and in making an estate wine without buying grapes from other growers. Yields are kept low, at 6,500 Kg/Hectare, they are well bellow the limit of the appellation (10,000Kg/Hectare).
