Before there was a winery, there was a vision: to craft a red wine that offered the perfect balance of concentration, complexity and grace; true to its terroir; hailed by the critics and prized by collectors; built for the next generation.

Finding Walla Walla
Two years of research ensued, the vast majority of that time spent exploring the great vineyards of California and Washington. Diligence combined with providence when I settled on Walla Walla, Washington. It was the region's wonderful vineyards and acclaimed winemakers that brought me here, but could I find the right site? Shortly after deciding on Walla Walla, I received a call about a beautiful 268 acre site with panoramic views of the valley. I visited immediately. And I knew I was home. With my son Nicholas and daughter Michelle Cole as my inspiration and Andrew Will Winery's Chris Camarda as my mentor and friend, my vision became a reality.
