For more than five generations, the family Di Meo cultivates their estate grapes in the heart of Campi Flegrei. Motivated by passion for the land and its products grow flourishing, thanks to a favorable ecosystem: mild climate and hilly terrain of volcanic origin sheltered from the nearby sea. There, in Cruna Delago vineyard, situated on the slope of an exhausted Vesuvio volcano, has been brought back to its former glory screws Piedirosso and Falanghina “Campi Flegrei”. This tiny family run estate (7.5 hectares) is producing naturally made, simple and elegant wines from the seaside of Campania. They practice crop diversification instead of using pesticides to control pests and weeds. The vineyard is, the soils of which lend a firm structure of mineral acidity to this Falanghina. Winemaker Maurizio De Simone is under consulting supervision of Roberto Cipresso. Roberto is also active at La Magia, La Fiorita (his own), Diesel Farm and Achaval-Ferrer.
