Adrian was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and has had an awe of nature for all of his years as a result. He studied Physical Geography and Creative Writing during college and graduated locally at UIC. Working in the fine dining industry during those years introduced him to the world of wine beginning in 2003. Notables like one sixtyblue, The Tasting Room, and Boka's original Perennial engaged him at a level that urged his pursuit of wine knowledge outside of work in his own time.

The science and history of wine have held his attention for years. And he professes that if he isn't learning, he's probably dead. Favorites include Gros Manseng, Lagrein, Txokolina, Plavac Mali, and rose Champagne. Future fantasies include owning a winery featuring a goat farm. Or, perhaps living in the Colorado mountains and writing science fiction while skiing perpetually. Whatever the case, he will always have an affinity for the stories written and being written about the world of wine for years to come.

Adrian joined Novovino in February 2018.
