Louis Trébuchet and Jean-René Chartron were passionate about the wines of Burgundy and when they joined forces in 1984 the quality of the resulting wines was quickly recognized.
Vincent Sauvestre, a fourth generation winegrower of some 240 prestigous hectares of vines, was chosen as a worthy successor of this prestigious House. He is every bit as impassioned by the unique terroir of Burgundy and owns vines in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune including three Grand Crus and twelve Premier Crus wines.
When he acquired the House of Chartron et Trébuchet, he acquired not only the house, but also the stock, the equipment and the expertise of the winemaker.
The making and supervision of the wines of Chartron et Trébuchet will continue at the same hight standards that has been maintained for decades. The quality of the wines will continiue to achieve the same standard of excellence which has come to be expected from Chartron et Trébuchet wines.
