Several years back, this estate decided to change directions and produce the top-flight Châteauneuf-du-Pâpe wines that the terroir is capable of. The owner, Jacques Callet, took on his friend Eloi Durrbach of Domaine de Trevallon, to guide the chateau through this process. First step, now completed, was to transition the vineyards over to a biodynamic farming system. This, combined with lower yields and a modern winemaking facility, make for an estate that has for the last couple of years been producing some of the best wines of the appellation. Nothing has been left to chance.
