Just outside of Verona, on the hills of San Martino Buon Albergo, the Musella estate is found with its medieval court enclosed by ancient walls. At the centre of this vast estate - rich in hoods, specialized crops, farmhouses, fruit orchards, vineyards and rivers – lies the family villa with its ancient, XVII century subterranean cellars. The estate was established by Count Cesare Trezza di Musella, but his descendants have sold the estate to the Pasqua di Bisceglie family in 1995, and the new era began for the winery. New capitals were immediately invested in the upgrading of the cellar and in the agricultural work in the vineyards. Today, Maddalena Pasqua keeps producing fine Amarone and Valpolicella wines from the original three Cru Vineyards planted by Cesare Trezza di Musella in the XIX century: Monte del Drago, Perlar and Palazzina. Musella is emerging as one of the best Amarone producers outside of the Classico zone.
