Bodega Etchart Cafayate was founded in 1850, is pioneer developing wine production and is the benchmark for the region. The winery is located at the foot of the Andes, over 1750 meters above sea level in one of the highest wine regions in the world. The combination of altitude, mild climate and characteristics of the Cafayate Valley result in aromatic wines of great concentration and color. Bodega Etchart has been one of the largest wineries in the region since 1930. A key player in bringing modernity to the valley since the 1980s, the property was bought by Pernod Ricard in 1996. The house vineyards are part of the region’s heritage while the winery facility is taken care of by Ignacio López and his team who produce a wide range of styles in addition to their classic brands Cafayate and Arnaldo B.
