Lone Birch wines are produced by Airfield Estates Winery in Sunnyside, Washington. The family-run winery, in the Yakima Valley AVA, grows its grapes on a large estate vineyard, which provides the fruit for all its wines. Throughout the family’s connection to wine production and diversification of crops led Don Miller, founder’s son, to implement the use of row crops as the family experimented with growing Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Following in Don’s footsteps, his son Mike founded the Airfield Estate Winery, now the home of Lone Birch Wines. Growing over 1,100 acres with a wide palette of fruit, Lone Birch Wines prides itself on limited production, high quality, and good value for its patrons. The winery is named for a prominent 70 year’s old birch tree planted by the family’s great-grandfather. The Lone Birch collection includes a variety of white, red, and rosé wines.
